Tianjin, center city of China,economic and international shipping center of northern China. International port and Ecological city. Tianjin covers a area of 11917.0 suqare kilometers,the circuit of Tianjin is about 1290.8 kilometers, the length of coast line is 153 kilometers. The population of permanent residents totaled 13.5458 million. It is largest open coastal city of north. 

In 2010, there are 150 top 500 enterprise settle in Tianjin, 396 investment project, the total constractual foreign investment reached 8.1 billion dollars.

Port of Tianjin is located in the west of Bohai gulf, a very important waterway transportation hub of north, northwest and Capital area of China. There are 140 berths,76 public berths, the coast line is 14.5 kilometers, 55 berths with thousands tons level. It is the largest man-made port in mainland China. In 2003, Tianjin port handled 162 million tonnes of cargo and have a net increase of 30 million tons which have made a breakthrough. The throughput rank first in northern China. Tianjin Port is the first port in mainland to develop international container transportation business. In 2004, throughput  of cargos are 3.816 million TEU, and the thoughput of goods reached 200 milion tons, have a net increase of 40 million tons ,which is a striding development. The throughput reached 24.144 million tons in 2005.
